1. Summary
We use optional analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4 to understand how business visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and how many enquiries start from the website. These cookies are only set if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you click "Reject", or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
We do not use advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking cookies. Our fonts and images are served from our own website. We also use a small amount of strictly necessary browser storage, described below, which does not need consent.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local and session storage, work in a comparable way. Some are strictly necessary for a site to work; others, such as analytics cookies, need your consent under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the EU ePrivacy rules.
3. Analytics cookies (optional, only with your consent)
When you accept, we load Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited (for users in the UK and EEA) and Google LLC. It records the pages you view, how you arrived on the site, your approximate location (country or city, derived from your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not log or store), your device and browser type, and the actions you take on the site, such as clicking a WhatsApp link, sending the enquiry form, requesting samples, downloading our company profile or opening the chat assistant. We do not send your name, email address or the content of your enquiry to Google Analytics.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes one browser from another with a random identifier, so visits can be counted without identifying you. | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> (for example _ga_ABC123XYZ) | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps the state of your current visit (session), such as its start time and the number of pages viewed. | 2 years |
We use Google Consent Mode v2 with every signal set to "denied" by default. Accepting grants analytics storage only; advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation always stay denied, and Google signals are turned off. We keep Google Analytics event data for 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically. Google processes the data as our processor; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
4. Strictly necessary storage
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
lords-consent-v1 | Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't ask on every page. | Until you change your choice or clear site data |
lords-chat-v1 | Session storage | Keeps your chat assistant conversation while you move between pages. It is only created if you open and use the chat. | Deleted when you close the browser tab |
Local and session storage stay in your browser. They are not sent to us with each page request.
5. Changing your choice and opting out
- Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to accept or reject analytics again. If you reject after accepting, we stop analytics and delete the
_gaand_ga_*cookies. - You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. Clearing site data also resets your cookie choice.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. Third-party sites
When you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, you leave this website for wa.me or the WhatsApp app, which is operated by Meta. WhatsApp may set its own cookies under its own cookie and privacy policies. The same applies to other external websites we link to.
7. Changes
If we add any other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them. Questions: bizdev@lordshealthcare.co.uk. See also our privacy policy.
